Residents for Torrey Pines Safety

The Torrey Pines Corridor Study

2011:  City Engineers Present Preliminary Plan
On January 19, city engineers presented the engineering draft of the plan (description of the city's plan) and will solicit community input at the upcoming February 24 meeting of the La Jolla Community Planning Association, Traffic and Transportation.  An article by Dave Schwab describing the initial plans appeared in The La Jolla Light.

2009: In June, residents rallied for action on the plan and Councilmember Sherri Lightner proposed $500,000 in federal stimulus funds for this project.

2008: TPR Corridor Study Approved by City Council
Residents have been working alongside City of San Diego staff on the Torrey Pines Corridor Study, which was passed by the San Diego City Council in late 2008.   Robert Thiele, chair  of the sub-committee and architect of the plan, translated concepts into the TPR Corridor Study, details of which can be found at the City of San Diego planning website.

Residents continue to contact city representatives for action on this road.
